How do I clean antibiotic ointment off of a polyester shirt?
I had a cut on my arm so I put on neosporin on. Then, I put on a brand new polyester shirt. Now the shirt is stained all over. I tried soaking the shirt and scrubbing it but neither helped at all. Does anyone know what I should do to clean the ointment off?

The petroleum oils are attached to the shirts fabric making it difficult to remove with just rinsing. You can pretreat the shirt with a paste of dishwashing liquid (Dawn is the best) and a little laundry detergent. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then put it in a basin with laundry detergent and hot water and soak it for 1/2 hour, followed by regular washing.
