Why do we have to pre-heat an oven before baking?
Why can't we just stick the food in and turn on the oven. Yeah, it'll take longer, but is it like a health issue with the start up or something? and is it just baking you do that?
When a oven starts to preheat it uses the highest temperture to reach the temperture it requires. If you put something in the oven that requires a low temperture during the preheat time it might burn because the oven will be way too hot.
