Is it too late to save my teeth?
im so worried and depressed about my teeth
i am in recovery from an eating disorder. over the past 8 years i have been trapped in a cycle of anorexia/bulimia and am finally overcoming it but i think my teeth are destroyed. the last 8 years i have been basically either living off diet soda, fruit and bubble gum all of which have eroded my teeth. when i did eat normal meals i would purge. sometimes i would even purge after eating a salad or an apple. the result has been that my teeth are now brown and the enamel on my front teeth is so thin it is almost see through. as i said i am now in recovery and have not binged in a long time. however i still do eat fruit and drink soda(aswell as normal meals) and recently when i bit into an apple my front tooth chipped. my teeth just feel so weak and it is making me terrified to eat in case they break! is there any treatment that would help or have i destroyed my life?:( please help
First of all go see a dentist. They would probably recommend getting crowns to protect whats left of your teeth. But yes, they can probably can be saved. Just go see the dentist!
