How would you describe excellent customer serviceat a caf'e or a restaurant?
A smiling, friendly server, prompt service (don't leave the customer waiting forever before you acknowledge them & take drink orders), plenty of refills without having to be asked, Check on us after our food comes out, but don't bug too much (let us enjoy our food), and again, be prompt with the bill but not too soon so it doesn't feel like we're being rushed out.
Above all, smiling and being friendly trumps everything else - the food could be horrible, the wait long, etc, but if the server is friendly and understanding, it makes the experience not so bad...
