Chocolate chip cookies testing for doneness?
Any suggestions on how to test chocolate chip cookies for doneness. My cookies either turn out undercooked or overcooked I can't time them just right. Also, what temperature are best to bake them. I have seen temperature ranges from 325-400F.

All ovens bake different, I bake my chocolate chip cookies @ 375 for about 15 minutes, For cookiies, timing has to be precise, so keep an eye on the clock or timer, also cookies continue to cook while on they are cooling on the pan,, so keep that in mind. A good rule of thumb is to check them about 12 minutes into the baking process, as soon as they are darkening up, very light brown they are done, pull them out of the oven and let cool for 15 minutes. If they are brown, they are over cooked. Of course, you can eat them as soon as they come out of the oven.
