Malabar Dwarf Puffer Fish?
i've just bought a dwarf puffer from my LFS and she caught my eye straight away, with her funny swiming pattern and her interest in everything in the tank, so i just had to have her. i asked the owner what he fed her and he said he gave her frozen daphnea so i got some. i took her home and she changed immediately from being very outgoing, to being very shy and reclusive. i know the tank is ok because the water parameters are fine, she has plants, and several hiding places, as well as a sandy bottom- pretty much everything she had at the shop. it's been over a week now. what's wrong with her? PLEASE HELP!!!! i want the happy little fish i had before!
thanks. there wasn't any other puffers in her tank, and the tank is the same size. i've even got the same lighting!!!
Puffers are generally shy at first introduction. I hand feed the puffers in the store. They like a meaty diet. You can usually purchase frozen clams from your LFS. That is a favorite or buy it fresh from a local market. Good foods to feed.

Snails--- I usually step on them first and then put them into the tank.
