can PVC pipe be used as additional floating for pontoon boats? I refer to the one seat er types.?
I'm looking for more floating ability to add more weight and so I can put a trolling motor on the pontoon as well as protection from the gare fish in the lake I fish in. I'm thinking 6 each 8 to 10 foot pipes fastened OOOOOO like this and capping the ends. Any thoughts?

That will work just fine. The caps must be sealed well - and filling the tubes with foam is good for stiffness and security if the pipe gets cracked or holed,
Make sure they are lashed or clamped firmly.
Performance will be , stately shall we say, you will find the modifications slow the boat and make it slow to respond.
