How are Flow bindings?
Are they good? I have heard different things from different people. What are the pro's and the cons?
As you said, you'll get different answers from different people. Personally, I love them.
The biggest pro is, of course, the speedy rear-entry. The time you save can add up to extra runs, especially if you ride at a smaller resort, or if you want to quickly unstrap to re-hit something in the park.
I've also found that the powerstrap is really responsive...way more than the negative reviews will have you believe. Since it contorts to your foot it will fit securely over any boot, and gives you a much better feel than conventional bindings in my opinion.
Most of the negative reviews come from people who used them several years ago, had problems, and have condemned the brand ever since. It's true that in the older versions had some durability issues, but Flow has done a good knocking out those kinks. In fact, I haven't heard of any problems if you get the M-series or NXT series (Womens: Minx, Muse or Essence).
The one real downside to them is that if you are the only one in your crew with them, you'll still end up waiting around for your friends to strap in...Personally, I don't have this problem, since all my friends ride Flows or K2 Cinch (another speed entry binding).
Flow is my binding brand of choice.
