Is this proper to redeem a buy one/get one free coupon?
I would like some feedback on this. My feeble mind tells me there is no difference in the following. Say I have a manufacturer's coupon that says maximum value $4.49 on a buy one get one free item. Say the item is 16 ounces. I get 32 ounces for $4.49 altogether. Say another store has the same item for regular price of $2.98 for 16 ounces. That would be $2.98 altogether for 32 ounces. However, at the second store they had 32 ounces for 5.49. Is buying 2 of the $5.49 items and then paying the difference of the $4.49 ok or is this so obviously not right to others maybe I should check in to the loony bin? I am not the type overall to carry a Mc Donalds cup in my car to get refills on sodas free nor do I take 15 catsup or 2 inch thick napkins. Just trying to get this straight. Some stores think it is ok since you are buying more quantity and they are getting the value of the coupon back anyway.. Others say no way.
so you go pick up 2 items at 5.49 each, when you check out they will ask you for 1 dollar. what is wrong with that? you get 64oz for 6.49. i don't see the problem sounds like that is what the coupon is saying.
i am sure you should have no problem. what they are saying on the coupon is that the most they will pay the grocer back is 4.49. so you will have to pay the 1.00 extra. you sound like an honest person.. its fine what you want to do.
