Why are some senators making comments against Puerto Ricans in North Carolina and Florida?
I send a picture of The Che and the Cuban Flag in Obama's Central Office in Texas and my niece send me some news about Republicans diminishing Puerto Ricans because off lack of speaking English. So does it means , the Mexicans are next and them any other Hispanic, them maybe the Jews and the Italians and the Irish and the British in the USA?
I think that Puerto Ricans are more than blessed of having USA on our side, but definitely, every individual in this country from every ethnic group should learn english as it is the official language. Though undeniable, not only Puerto Ricans but the latino community is growing steadily fast and there are bilingual options everywhere in the States, Latinos will be the biggest minority in this country, and every "politico" should be aware of that. We are a strong and hard working poeple except for some lazy ones then we all get judge as the negative ones, but no. This country is a melting pot.
As for the republicans making negative comments about Puerto Ricans, I think everybody does talk about everybody. Doesnt matter is they are democrats or rep. If it is correct or no it depends your very individual point of view. Of course if you are a "politico" you better watch out what you are saying.
About the Status of Puerto Rico. Of course we have to be objective, Does the USA needs Puerto Rico???. Do Puerto Ricans unanimously want to be part of the USA?. Does Puerto Rico has something to offer to the states to be desirable to the States?. Will Puerto Ricans be willing to give up their cultural identity, to surrender to a flag that will go over theirs? Think about it and get an answer, Puerto Ricans Have a a mind and a heart, they and and only them should be the ones deciding for their own status.
