Introducing my cats to my boyfriend's cat-hating dog?
My boyfriend has a 12-yr. old black lab, Bandit, and he HATES cats. We've been tossing around the idea of me moving in with him, but I have 2 indoor-only cats. He said his dog might kill my cats, but I'm not sure he really would because he only really flips out over cats he can't get to (over the fence). But I'm still scared. What would be the best way to get his dog used to my cats and not try to kill them? I'd have to butcher that dog if he killed my cats!! My bf refuses to keep the dog outside while the cats have the run of the house, then we'd confine them to a bedroom while the dog is inside. I just don't know how to make this work!
Don't risk your cats safety..to try to make it work. You can't make the dog like the cats, either he does or he doesn't.
