So why doesn't my husband wanna have sex?
Here's the story: I've been married almost 5 years. We have a 2 year old. It's been close to 2 weeks since the last time we were intimate, with few and far between as it is. I forget my towel so I go to get one. I see that our 2 year old has fallen to sleep and I tell my husband this as I walk by him, nude. He is watching a Rob Snider movie with commercial breaks. He say ok then sits back to enjoy as I continue on to the shower. What the hell? Did I need a neon sign? I have never been in a relationship before where the guy doesn't take full advantage of me being nude. When we were trying to get pregnant I had to bug him for sex then, continually reminding him that we had to have sex to actually have a baby. I don't understand why he doesn't want me.....
Reasons for sexual differences can vary to such extremes, it's hard to say why one person would have a very high sex drive and another very low. There are also extenuating circumstances that can cause a low sed drive, it could be all sorts of things, or a combination. Stress at work or at home, not enough rest, high blood pressure, medications, depression...the list goes on and on. Those are not the only reason though, some are far more complicated, such as early family life, possible molestation, being sexually active too young ...just any thing. I would suggest therapy or just marriage counseling if you feel that he doesn't 'want' you. Also some of these things cause not enough testosterone which can be treated very effectively. Talk to your husband and explain how this makes you feel, make an appointment with a medical doctor first, then possibly a counseling session may be helpful. Don't give up hope, most men that have these problems are very evasive and don't want to think about it much less talk to a woman about it. This may be something that with care and consideration you can work out together. W
