Translate Yahoo time in Emails?
Sometimes, I try to see when an email was sent/recieved...and the time is in gibberish (at least to me.) For example: 13:42:21 -0700 (PDT). What time is this? And is there anyway to change that in preferences so it's more obvious what the actual time is?
I know that PDT - Pacific Daylight Time...but that still doesn't help me out.
If it helps anyone, I'm on Arizona time.
Emails originating in the Yahoo system carry a time & date stamp according to the main servers on the west coast of N.America (time zone PDT or PST). This is a default time/date that CANNOT be changed by users.
The original Y.Mail displays the time in 24-hour clock (military time), whereas the New Yahoo Mail displays it in 12-hour clock (a.m./p.m.). These display formats cannot be changed by users.
13:42:21 PDT is 1:42pm Pacific Daylight Time, which is 7 hrs behind GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), hence the -0700 reference.
