White plastic rolls for school projects?
Our club at school is looking for a roll of plastic, about 40 inches wide and 100 yards long. We are NOT looking for limp, tablecover plastic rolls. We want thin, glossy plastic...yet durable enough so as not to absorb permanent markers. The plastic is used to create art projects/murals at a language fair. This stuff is really difficult to find. Any suggestions??
Sounds to me like butchers paper is just what you need! It is also called freezer paper.
But to find a local source, you will need to find a place where they process large cuts of meat, because grocery store butchers probably only have the 15" or 18" wide rolls.
But this gives you a place to start anyway. This paper has a coated side and a paper side (both sides are white) So it is perfect for what you are describing!
