Culinary Question: How do you do voluntary prep work for a restaurant without jeopardizing the owner?
Since I am giving my time for free, I am not on the owners insurance policy.
Unless you are doing an internship at a restaurant I can't imagine that an owner would accept a volunteer to work in his establishment. Though you may not consider yourself "on his insurance policy" his would still be held liable if you had an accident or caused one in his kitchen. You might be able to do something like that in a small family run establishment but there is still the issue of liability for the owner.
