Vacuum Coffee vs. Drip Coffee?
I am a coffee lover and I recently came across an old Vacuum coffee maker at a garage sale which reminded me... I never did find out which makes the better coffee.
Is the Vacuum coffee like a french press or?
Which do you prefer and why?
Please explain WHY.
I dont really care what your favorite is if you dont tell me why.
I love my vac pot. It's like french press but not quite.
If you let it steep longer it will taste a little like espresso (by covering my boiler with a cool, wet towel, I can even create a bit of crema). If, on the other hand, I let it brew normally it cuts off automatically and gives a rich (but milder) coffee than french press.
The main reason I like it better than the press is convenience: since the grounds are separate from the coffee I don't have to drink all of it right way. That way I can savor the flavor more.
