how hot is too hot for my macbook pro?
i have a macbook pro (13") and it is only about a month old. i have been on my computer for about an hour and it started to feel hot. i checked the temp and it was around 63 then it went up to 71 and then it went back down to 65 then 54 after i kinda propped the back of it up a lil bit. this is not the first time that it has gotten this hot and im kinda scared that it is going to fry my computer and its still pretty new and i did pay alot!
These temperatures are not too hot. Too hot would be when the computer shuts itself down because of overheating or about 95C. Macs always run hot because Apple cares more about making it thin than functional on more surfaces (on their website it says that you can only use on a flat hard surface).
You could invest in a cooling pad but it probably is not necessary unless you use the computer in your lap. I own a MacBook and I reach those temperatures after about 10 minutes doing nothing so those temps aren't bad.
