How do I go about handeling this situation?
My best friend recently passed away. I promised to take care of her daughter like she was my own. The other day I asked her if I could borrow her video camera to tape her younger brothers baseball game. She said sure! In the middle of the game the camera ran out of memory, so I was flipping though to see if there was anything I had taken that I could delete. The video before my first one looked odd to me so I pressed play. It was her stripping for her boyfriend ( who is almost 3 years older), and you could hear him in the background. I told her that the reason that she was allowed to still date him was that she has to have her clothes on at all times, and may not shut any room they are in together. How do I punish her? Can I make them breakup for her safety? Shes 14 years old. Also, I was concerened that I shouldn't punish her until the therapist told me to be a little tougher.
You can try and keep her from her bf but she will find a way.You can tell her to keep her clothes on and keep the doors open,but kids find a way.You really need to sit down and have a heart to heart with her.Tell her about all the diseases out there.You can even show her pics on line.Talk to her about how some are permanent.Because to me it sounds like she may be having sex or ready to.
It is your house and your rules.You should be more strict with her when it comes to dating being that she is so young.She is at her prime.Spend more time with her doing mother -daughter things.
I would also talk to her about guys these days.Most have no morals.And she just may regret some of her choices that she can not get back.I also don't know why a 14 year old would have a video camera anyway.
