I love alternative music: "emo", hardcore, punk, metal etc. Why annoyingly do they rarely/never go mainstream?
I love great music with great guitar and drums, so why do they never go aminstream when they are so great, and have so much support. Many think that alternative music is the minority but its not like that anymore I'm sure of it. They have so many supporters and so many albums. I have countless albums and singles so why do they never release songs into headlines. They are signed and released, to produce an album, but we don't thear about them in papers like we do about Leona (yawn). Is there a reason perhaps.

I like to think that they do not go mainstream as a choice, I mean, a band can be popular and successful without signing to a major record label and being played on radio stations the world over every ten minutes!
Think about it if all the bands you like became "huge" ticket prices,merchandise and everything else band related would increase and you would hear their music all the time on the "mainstream" radio stations and in turn they would become as boring as Leona etc
