What is a fun, chill place to eat dinner in Dallas, TX?
My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I want to get some of his friends together for dinner somewhere in the general vicinity of downtown Dallas that night. I live in Austin and am not at all familiar with the Dallas scene.
I want a place that:
-has a good vibe, for a group of 21-24 year olds
-has good food and drinks (preferably beer or margaritas)
-is reasonably priced (<$12/entree, I would say)
-is fun (not too quiet, romantic, or elegant)
And a good bar or something fairly close-by to go to after dinner?

The Sidewalk Cafe in Addisson is very nice. Plus there is usually a live band that places across the street from this place on weekends. They serve mediterran food. Coconut Thai Grill serves excellent Thai food. They are pretty reasonable in that an entree is only 6.75 and you can get their coconut soup for 1.50. However, if your a big coconut soup lover, Best Thai is the way to go. They are located near addison, close to the ATT&T store. Their soups are excellent. Also Cafe Brazil has a location right near Southern Methodist University so college kids frequent their unlimited cofee bar. As far as meals, I thought Cafe Brazil was a bit high, but decent. However, Cafe Brazil is very popular and can be crowded so you might have to wait a bit if you go on a weekend. Cafe Brazil is located near the Gallaria Mall in case you feel like doing some shoping afterwards.
