Electric Stove Element Always on High (Really Hot)?
I was just wondering how come my Chef Electric Stove Element goes on high All the time? Even if i switch the element on low or medium its always on High. What is the cause of problem? Is there anyway i can fix this?

The problem is in the switch unit. The element only has one resistance element and the heat level is controlled in the unit under the control knob.
What you need to do is turn off the power to the stove and lift the top up to get access to the controls. This is usually the way on most stoves. Remove the control and take it to an appliance repair store. They usually stock several kinds or can get you one.
If you want to use the stove while you get parts simply tape all of the wire ends with electrical tape. If it is your favorite burner it is also possible to move another control to that spot if a wait for parts is going to happen
