Providing Christmas Wishes 2009 - need feedback?
Do you think there is still time to develop a quick website that links people / families with small Christmas wishes with people wanting to help others? This site would do some checking to verify need (so no spam) and donors could do send small wishes straight to the people in need. The website would just link people together. We aren't talking big needs just small things to help out. Who knows maybe because of the tight times a senior really needs socks or books to read, maybe a family needs stocking stuffers. Do you think if you did this you could get some "press"or "social networking" links to spread the word.
Sounds like a good idea! I'd have it advertised in the local paper, maybe make flyers to put in restaurants, the post office, library, etc. Many towns and cities have classified websites (i.e. Ocala4sale.com), you could try making a free ad there. You could try telling places like the Salvation Army and Goodwill about what you're doing, and maybe those people could check it out if they could get access to a computer (the library, again). I think it's a great idea, good luck!
