Anything I can do about being barred from a pub?

Over a year ago I got into a fight outside a local pub and club. I got done for assault and got 12 months – and served just under 6 and am out now on license. That’s all behind me now and I’m trying to get things back to normal but I’m still barred from a few local places becasuse of that eventhough I’ve done my time. Is it legal for them to do this?
