My monroe piercing is either infected or the bar is too short, help!?
I got my monroe piercing done 3 days ago, my friend did it. She's worked at 2 tattoo/piercing shops as a piercer so she knew what she was doing. The day after I got it pierced it didn't seem too swollen or even red but last night I noticed it was a little red and swollen. I'm sure it didn't help that I hit it twice but now it's still red and it feels kind of tight and looks like the stud is really pressing against my skin, I guess from the swelling. I don't know if I should take it out or change bar. Can I even change to a longer bar and it be ok? I've been cleaning it and rinsing my mouth regularly. I'm posting here cause my friends at work and I won't be able to talk to her till later tonight, so any help from anyone who's experienced this would be great!

It just sounds like you knocking it agitated it a bit, it's still new so it's still sensitive. It sounds like it's swelled up, so i recommend you try to get the swelling down by doing some sea salt soaks.
I'd wait to speak to your friend before deciding to change it a longer bar, although i think it'd help especially with the swelling. Either way, just keep cleaning it, try to aid the swelling to go down, maybe some ice. and I'm sure it should be fine. 
Try not to knock it anymore or touch it.
