What's the best way to make Turkish coffee on a glass top electric stove?
My husband drinks several cups of Turkish coffee every day and has boil overs almost every time he makes a cup... It is a huge mess to try to clean on my glass top electric stove. Any ideas of another way to make it without such a mess? Wish we had just one gas burner!
I had the same problem; electric stoves can't regulate the temp properly for Turkish coffee (it needs to heat up slowly & those small pots boil fast). I gave up on the stove and made my own cheap sand heater (traditional way to make it) by buying a small steel tray, filling it with a layer of playground sand from Home Depot, and placing it over the side burner on my outdoor grill.
It works beautifully, and I can make 3 pots at the same time. Of course, I probably won't be making much with Winter coming up.
